RE: 2007 Member Survey

Dear GLYC Member:
As I mentioned in my Clubhouse Update at the beginning of the month the leadership of the Gull Lake Yacht Club has been investigating ways to better utilize the GLYC property for the enjoyment of our members. We need your input to help identify ways we can better serve your needs and interests.

Enclosed is the 2007 Member Survey concerning the clubhouse. This survey is mailed to all levels of membership, including Admiral’s Club, Skipper, and Social members. We are interested in everyone’s opinions. Please take a few moments to complete this survey. With such a diverse group of members the responses are certain to be varied, but this process will help us ascertain a direction concerning the clubhouse. By polling our members we hope to determine how you feel about our existing facility and discover any changes you would like to see made to our clubhouse. Whether you have been vocal or silent about this topic in the past, now is your opportunity to be heard in a format that can be compiled, quantified, analyzed and reported back to you on a consolidated basis. Most importantly the input you provide will help us determine what changes to the clubhouse can and should be actionable.

The time has come to “fish or cut bait”. We need to make some decisions about the clubhouse. We would like to determine which path to pursue based upon member input rather than mere assumptions or conjecture. Most things in life can be achieved if there is sufficient interest, effort, and financial support. This survey will help us determine what you really want for your Club. Please respond to the survey and encourage other members to respond as well. From an analytical perspective the higher the ratio of response we receive the more accurate picture we will obtain.

Please complete and return the survey by May 15th in the return envelope enclosed for your convenience or return it via fax to the phone number listed on the survey form.

Your views are important. We will tabulate the responses and provide you with a summary of the results of our survey in the June newsletter. On behalf of the Board of Directors and the Building Committee, thank you for taking the time to share your opinions and comments.
