Plans are not final and scope of project is subject to the ultimate success
of the capital campaign.
Gull Lake Sailing School’s Family Center
on the property of the Gull Lake Yacht Club

The Gull Lake Sailing School, under an agreement with the Gull Lake Yacht Club, envisions creating a new Sailing School Family Center for youth in the Brainerd Lakes area. The Gull Lake Yacht Club is now and will continue to be the landowner, and will lease land to the Sailing School for construction of the new facility. The Sailing School then will build and occupy the Sailing School Family Center.

The Gull Lake Sailing School will lease back to the Yacht Club and its members use of space in the wonderful new building for times when the Sailing School is not conducting its own activities. Large Sailing School class areas, and a catering kitchen, will be available for private social events.

With these exciting tenant improvements in mind, we are pleased to announce a capital campaign, on behalf of the Gull Lake Sailing School, to bring this vision to fruition. The Gull Lake Sailing School has Internal Revenue Code §501(c)(3) status with the IRS, allowing donations to the Sailing School for this capital campaign to be 100% tax deductible. We anticipate construction will begin at the end of the 2008 summer, and be completed by the beginning of the 2009 summer.

We sincerely hope that you will join us in spirit and financial enthusiasm to construct a Gull Lake Sailing School Family Center that this community can be proud of, as we ensure a continuing Gull Lake legacy.

Thank you so much,
The Capital Campaign Committee
