We “GLSS” Gull Lake Sailing School and “GLYC” Gull Lake Yacht Club were founded in 1947 and continue to operate from the eastern shores of Gull Lake near Brainerd, Minnesota. Our mission is to grow sailing in the Brainerd Lakes Area and grow friendships on Gull Lake. GLSS focuses on teaching youth ages 5 and up to advance their knowledge in water safety, sailing techniques and expand their enjoyment of being on the water. Our instructor led courses focus on a variety of skills. Our programing ranges from boat safety to intro to sailing courses and racing courses. We also serve as the home of the Brainerd High School Sailing Team. Financial aid is available to ensure all are welcome. Don't hesitate, come out to the lake!
